New slitting line project
- Dec 19, 2018 -

Siemens Metallurgical Technology has signed an order with Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., a Chinese steel producer, to equip a new slitting line. The line will be installed at Anshan's southern China plant to cut high-quality cold-rolled strips for the automotive industry. The project will become the first application of the winch-type slitting head, advanced technology, and the fast-changing tooling mold business of Siemens in the Chinese market. The mold change system is compatible with the tool autoloading robot, which will ensure higher reliability and production flexibility. A special belt unit provides the required back tension to run free from scratch. The slitting line is expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2014.

This project includes process technology, mechanical equipment, automation engineering, and the supply of all equipment used in the production line from Siemens Metallurgical Technology. Siemens will also be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning. The line is designed to handle the surface quality of the inner and outer panels of the car (O3) and B (O5). The highest strip width is 1850 mm, the thickness is 0.3 mm to 2 mm and the tensile strength is 800 MPa. . The maximum number of slits is 30 cuts. Backlash anti-tension scratches Siemens designed belt tensioning device.
